The First Semester Paper
So far, we have studied Bob Greene, Beowulf, King Arthur and the Catcher in the Rye. In each of these stories, the major characters have made large decisions based on their own moral and cultural values.
Some characters valued loyalty and honor. Others valued violence and greed. Some seemed to have no values at all.
In this project, you will examine the values of two of these stories, as well as your own. You will explain your views in a five paragraph essay, due at the end of 2011.
