And So It Ends...
Congratulations! We have made it to our final play/novel of the year. We're not done just yet though...
Welcome to the story of Antigone, a play which asks us the big question: Are we free to choose our destiny or is fate too much for us?
Antigone brings us into a world of Gods, prophets, curses and tyrants. Antigone must learn to navigate this world and stand up for justice against her evil uncle Creon.
The Story of Oedipus
Before we can understand Antigone, we must first learn the backstory. I have attached a copy of the story of Oedipus as well as a short movie.

Emotional Catharsis
This video does a great job of summing up what it means to have an emotional catharsis. We will discuss this in greater detail in class.
