Advertising is all around us. Every time we walk out the door, turn on the TV or drive our cards, we are bombarded with ads. THe key is not to avoid them, but learn how to decipher them. How can we live so that we control the ads and not let them control us?
Below are four commercials. Each one uses different types of propaganda. Watch each one and respond in the discussion board. Give your opinion of the ad, and state if it was effective. Be sure to say why or why not.

Assignment
As the final part of this project, create your own advertisement. You are free to use any medium you like, but it must be creative and use a visual component. Bonus points will awarded for use of audio. You can advertise for any product, real or not, but the ad must be your own. Do not copy an existing one. You must use at least three forms of propaganda.
