The tough part of using this much new technology is that it can easily become the sole barometer for success. If the technology worked, the day was solid. If it failed, the day was not. Really though, the tech should fade into the background and allow the learning to show through. It's unclear yet which is working. The students will need some time in order to adapt to the new system before things start to be clear.
Pacing is also an immediate concern though perhaps this is because of the amount of time its taken to get the units truly started. I'm concerned that the students are moving too slowly because they feel no immediate hurry. It will be interesting to see how much (external) motivation is needed.
That being said, it was a solid, worthy of remembering the grand scheme of this "grand experiment." Let's hope it continues...at least until the end of the week.
