Today, the seniors presented their work on the satire projects so far. While each project had some value, the ones that stood out were the ones that took advantage of synergy...even if they didn't know that was the title. Projects with a singular, central focus who attacked a message diligently with multiple angles were by far more effective than projects with such a focus. A video is funny, and a presentation is entertaining, but combining video, text, images, audio, live presentations, and physical handouts really drive the point home. Synergy makes each element that much better because it exists in combination with the others.
While ultimately the project won't be key to longterm success, it's important to remember that success does require effort, including the details. As the seniors break into the final third of the year, some of starting to realize exactly what it will take to become productive successful adults. They just might make it after all.
