While the time has flown by, it's always interesting to see how much the students have grown over the year. Not in size or in quality of work, but rather in dynamic, in culture, in maturity, and in sufficiency. Because the research project is a required element of the class, the seniors are leaving nothing to chance and pouring themselves into making sure this final hurdle is done right. These are the same students who couldn't figure out how to sign in to Google Drive back in August, and now they're cross referencing their notes with online databases to synthesize original arguments augmented by literary criticism.
So while it's still only Thursday, and still only March, and still only 50 degrees, and still 4 days away from Opening Day, there is hope in the air. The fourth quarter is upon us at midnight. Between you and me, I've been waiting all year for this.
