I spent today doing nothing but watch myself on the computer. No, I'm not vain, but I spent 7 hours watching and taking notes on the remainder of my video data for the Gamification Dissertation. Now, the "only" thing I have to do is code all my findings, sort of themes, and then write up the results. It's going to be a little trickier than I just described, but I'm right on schedule to have my first full draft done by the middle of the month.
In other random news, I rediscovered fruit today. I usually do this about once a year when summer returns and my brain allows me to believe that the fruit in the store is at least somewhat fresh rather than something artificial from halfway around the world. And yes, I realize that 90% of what I eat is completely artificial in every way, but there's something about eating fake fruit that just seems counterproductive. Conversely, if you're actually able to find fresh pineapple, you're really hit the jackpot. Perhaps it's because it brings back memories of the Dole Pineapple deserts from Disney World, or perhaps because it's fun to chop up a pineapple, or perhaps it's because pineapples look silly as they try to scare you away, but pineapple is far and way my favorite of fruits...but only for a brief moment in the summer until they start to taste like sour sand again.
So good-bye June. I'm not sure where the time went, but there's still a vast unexplored July to go. Enjoy every day of it, after that it's going to be Sunday all month in August.
