As a Senior teacher, I have to say I'm always a little "lonely" by Curriculum Night. Don't get me wrong, it's a pretty easy gig, but by the time the students are seniors, very few parents show up to the presentation. I can't say I blame them; they know the drill by now, but aside from the end-of-year events and the occasional basketball games, there's not much contact with upperclassmen parents. Not that the gamification system is world-changing...but it's definitely something different which I think most parents should at least see once.
Nevertheless, another Open House...Curriculum Night is in the books and Week 4 of the school year is finished. Now we gear up for the final week of September as things truly get moving in the new Fall.
