I suppose, though, that that's really how all work is when you think about. Though LEGO sets give an added element of frivolity, most tasks, especially tasks that take hours and hours, seem rather wasteful from a distance. My dissertation was months of work to say that "gamification can be good....sometimes". Grading is hours and hours so each student can see and score, shrug, and move on with their lives. I once spent a few class periods organizing Pirate tickets order for the Senior Class Pirate game...only to have students show up and sit wherever they felt like. It's very easy to be busy doing nothing. No wonder it's so difficult for people off-work to get back into the work arena...sometimes a vacation can see like a huge task.
But enough blogging, there's few more LEGOs to build and a book to read, and lines to memorize. Vacation is exhausting sometimes.
