After sleeping in an extra two hours, I was wide awake at 7:30am. After sitting around the house for a half hour, answering some emails, I decided to walk the dogs, which made me feel a little better. I then decided it would be a good idea to go for a run around the neighborhood (only three miles or so) to see if I could jump-start my health with some exercise. While the run was fine, and I felt decent after finishing it, it wasn't long before the endorphins wore off and I found myself worse than before. After walking back to my house, I realized it was time to take this sick day seriously and stay in bed, take a nap, and eat soup (though not all three at the same time). After napping for...45 minutes, I woke up again...and started doing work. Apparently laying in bed all day just isn't for me.
As the actual school day has just wrapped up, I'm still glad I took the day off but still don't feel much better. Hopefully tomorrow morning will bring a change as Senior Speeches are about to begin...arguably the best week of the year.
