While the article doesn't wish to dismiss students who achieve highly in academics, it sought to prove that an Ivy League school shouldn't come at the cost of a childhood. Throwing away four years of your life in pursuit of a 6.5% chance to landing Harvard just isn't worth it. There's dozens of schools that will accomplish the same goals without asking so high a price...and that will yield just as great of rewards. The question you have to ask: Is it a game worth playing?
