When you think about it though, skiing is hilarious. You travel to a mountain filled with artificially created snow, bundle yourself up in many layers, buy/rent small, thing board which you tightly strap to your feet, right a cheap elevator to the top of the hill...and then try not to die as you slide back to the bottom. It's a weird combination of adventurous and safe, scary and simple, freezing and fun, and "I'm the best skier ever" and "I'm about to die". Maybe it's the fact that it's right on that line that keeps people coming back, or maybe it's that it's an experience you can't quite mimic anywhere else.
But enough about theoretical skiing, time to get out there and make it happen. As long as the only injuries are some wind burn and sore legs, it'll have been a good night.
