I noticed the same thing while running...mainly how grateful I am for pavement. Typically I internally complain about the bumpy sidewalks...but today put all my worries to shame I was forced to run on snow-covered sidewalks and slushy streets. If nothing element, it made me extremely grateful for the "cold hard ground" I'm normally forced to deal with. Hopefully it'll work itself out by tomorrow...but even if it doesn't, it'll be relatively better.
In short, things are usually only as good or bad as what you're comparing them too. Hopefully after two weeks of poetry, my students will be extremely grateful we're moving on to Macbeth. ...Ok maybe not...but it's worth a shot.
