One thing about this film that's been made clear in the trailers is that Steve Jobs was a bit of jerk, demanded impossibly high standards, and often took credit for others work. He's not a coder, or a programmer, but rather just a visionary who would drive people towards change. He mentions partway through the film that while "musicians play their instruments...I play the orchestra." While Steve Jobs' inherent narcissism and perfectionism aren't admirable, there's something to be said for a leader who's able to push everyone else to their limits so that something impossible can be achieved. I know I'm certainly not at that level yet, but the idea of being a leader who can "play the orchestra" is certainly a goal worth pursuing.
Well, enough writing about this...let's go see if this movie is any good. I could read the reviews...but only "hacks ask for a show of hands".
