Of course, none of this would have been possible without the support and teamwork from the TEDxBaldwinHighSchool team. Between building the website (www.bwsdtedtalks.weebly.com) and designing the program, to working with the students as they planned their talks, to adjusting the lights and setting up sound equipment, and constructing our TED stage, it was a true team effort. This wasn't done for a check, or service hours, or any type of quid pro quo, but a group of volunteers who came together to help spread some ideas and connect with the wider TED world. I couldn't be prouder.
Now as we wait the final cuts of today's talks; it's time to start thinking about next year's adventure. How can we expand this event to cover even more areas of the district and involve the elementary schools, the PTA, the alumni, and the community leaders? Let's hope this is just the start of something that will continue to expand. I'm sure that when we come back, when the year is new, that they'll have more ideas for you. Maybe you'll have things you'll want to talk about. I will too.
