Today was one of the very few days I can actually talk to all of the students. As students begin their research projects, I sat in the corner of the library and had them visit me one-by-one in order to share their research novels, or to present their full 20% proposal. It was great not only to hear some of the ideas, but just to have a little bit of face time with everyone for a change, rather than just a single group. There's some students I've had for years but I never really get to know simply because they're a bit more introverted. I might know them through their work, but it's different talking one on one.
So, was it more difficult than a doctor treating 120 patients in a day? I'll leave that for the internet pundits to decide.
