I'm the first to defend old "stuff" that should exist in it's original form. Doing Shakespeare should be done traditionally; you don't need to set Macbeth in space for the crowd to enjoy it. Likewise, I'm sure that some people will be annoyed that a band is performing more modern music, or performing modern music in a "hip" or pandering way. They might have a point. But on the other hand, music and bands only exist in the form they exist in because that's the way they had to exist in the past, either due to technical limitations or social conventions. It's not to say they can't exist like that anymore...but there's really no need to keep holding them back. Right?
I have to give the band credit, they're learning to adapt. Over the past few weeks, the band has been prepping for a "new and exciting" concert going up tonight. I have no idea what's going to happen, though I'm told it has something to do with lights, sound, special guests, and various media. It might be amazing, it might be an odd flop, but it definitely promises to be interesting.
