Nevertheless, for the first time in a few years, a student at Baldwin actually put together a pretty solid project. One of our NHS students created a "free" yoga class (with a suggested donation) in order to raise money for an organization that helps people with eating disorders. It was rather well attended, and everyone involved seemed appreciative of the time that went into planning the event. Even though yoga wasn't really my thing, I pretended it was for an hour.
(Also, I think I finally saw for the first time...that I'm getting old. Students who aren't athletes were very easily able to get into positions while myself and the other adults were struggling. It turns out when you're really 30, you can't just wing it anymore...)
