As a result, I likely won't have as much time to post over the next eight weeks. This practicum is the equivelent of student-teaching...and real-teaching at the same time.
I've been working as a principal-intern for the past week and I think it's safe to say...that it's already eye opening. Even though I don't have all that much responsibility at this point, it's still interesting to see things from the other side. It would seem that most "obvious" solutions, or poor ideas that we as teachers sometimes perceive actually have no simple solutions. Typically if something makes it all the way up the food chain to administration, there's not going to be an easy way to fix it.
