But Christmas, at least these days, is funny. The early post-Thanksgiving excitment seems to have all the excitement. The Christmas parties towards the end of the month represent the end of the holiday, and finally, Christmas Day itself serves as almost an epilogue. In other words...I feel like Christmas is over, and I missed it.
It's interesting to see how Christmas used to be a 12 day celebration starting on 12/25 and continuing until Ephiany. As a result, some wouldn't even decorate (or get) their trees until Christmas Eve, and the "season" was delayed. Now...it's still a 12-18 day holiday...it's just much earlier in the year.
