I'm well aware I'm falling right into the merchandisers hands...but sometimes that's ok if you're looking to make the movie into an "experience" and not just a film. I don't really have high hopes for this film (I'm sure it'll be fine but I'm not holding my breath) yet it's always fun to lean-in a little bit and get ready for the hype. Besides, I've never had a TIE-fighter before..seems like a good time to start!
I was in Wal-Mart today and was reminded of the big update this weekend- The new Star Wars Lego sets are here! Even though we have no idea what the plot of the movie will be, nor the role any of these new characters will play, it's still cool to see something entirely new yet familiar in the Star Wars universe. While I refrained from buying any/most of the Force Awakens Lego sets (they really seemed more "set based" rather than "new vehicle based") I think I'll have to check out a few of these.
