This year, we're returning to the "deleted scenes", but with a small change. Rather than just writing them on paper, students will actually be performing their final selections out loud. For some, this will mean making a video. Others will simply audio-record, and some will perform their poems live. Since Beowulf is "epic" in nature and from the Anglo-Saxon tradition, such poems were meant to be told out loud. I'm hoping this year, it's a more natural use of technology.
Today, the students begin drafting their projects, and tomorrow/Friday, they're actually going to start recording. Let's see what happens!
