While the girl's basketball team has already clinched a spot in the playoffs, last night's game against the rival Bethel Park still showed the roller coaster nature of the night. The girl's played very well in the first half, taking a commanding 17 point lead into the third quarter. Even so, it wasn't over until it's over, and Bethel Park fought back to a mere two-point deficit with less than a minute to go.
Skillfully and thankfully, Baldwin hung on and won the day. I found myself nervous as the final seconds ticked away...dare I say emotionally invested. I can honestly say, I never thought I'd be invested by a basketball game. Thankfully, there's still the playoffs to go!
Today students completed poetry presentations in the junior class and started Macbeth in the senior group. My only regret about missing the next three days is that I won't be there to see the seniors reaction when Patrick Stewart says the word "dogs" on Tuesday. That may have sounded odd but it'll make perfect sense to them.
With that, it's now the weekend again as the weeks tick away. Enjoy your time off!
