My afternoon sessions focused on the exploring more of the flipped classroom model by finally getting to hear from teachers who have run this in their own classrooms. As a teacher, its often encouraging but slightly empty only hear about "possibilities" but not about practicalities. When a tech person says "you can do anything with this product!", that almost always means that they have no idea what do with it. The flipped presentations were a welcome shift.
Speaking of flipped, I had a great chance to speak with Aaron Sams, one of the seminal speakers on the flipped movement, at the conference last night. He's a busy guy, but very pleasant and it was refreshing to bounce ideas off of someone that gets it. I also had the good news of hearing I'll be speaking at FlipCon 2014 this summer! Even though PETE&C is almost over, the cause keeps on rolling on
Until then, wish me luck tomorrow (Gamification at 8am in Cocoa Suite 2/3), and stay warm. See you all there!
