From a writing perspective, the 100 days have really flown by. Starting the blog on January 1st with a goal to blog daily for an entire year seemed daunting but now it seems like a natural extension of the day. Some days have been proud and positive, others have been fluff pieces, but I still believe there's great value in forcing one's self to reflect and write daily. Hopefully they've been as entertaining for others as they've been for me.
In other news, Baldwin's performance of Shrek: The Musical was excellent last night. Grant Weaver mastered the art of outrageous character acting and subtle showmanship, Allie Leng stole the show from herself as Fiona, Kevin Malesic made Eddie Murphy proud with his smooth talking donkey, and Stephen Tsambarlis gave Lord Farquaad enough comedic timing to host his own stand-up act. In addition, the lead roles were supported by an superb supporting cast of "freaks" and other fairytale characters each more invested than the last. Not only were the sets colorful (even to me as a colorblind person) and extremely complex, but the music, dancing, and overall spectacle finally brought the movie to life. It was amazing to consider the entire show is completely student-created and student-driven. Your hard work pays off year after year. I wasn't allowed to take any pictures of the show, so here's a one picture of the blank stage.
With that, Happy Day 100 of the year, and the blog! Here's to the next 100!
