Of course, once the year actually got started, two things changed. First, I realized we still had hundreds of Pink shirts from last year which remained unsold in the basement. Second...I realized that not only were the Senior Officers and Exec Board members really passionate about the Pink Out idea, but they were also amazing at selling shirts. As a result, they've been able to unload at least 400+ Pink shirts in the past few days, hype up this Friday's Pink Out Senior Rec game, and get the school together for a full-pink group shot to raise awareness (and raise funds). The best part? It wasn't even me. In fact, they succeeded even more when I suggested Pink might not be a good idea. They proved me wrong, and showed that, while no "cause" is entirely corporation free, you can still be just as passionate about it. As I'm writing this, I know the Seniors have raised over $600 to support breast cancer victims, and I'm looking forward to their turnout tonight at the game. It promises to something memorable, and I'll be sure to post pictures later.
So congratulations Senior Class, not only is the Pink, Out, but the Pink is Back.
